What is the Mesh Current Calculator?
The Mesh Current Calculator helps engineers, students, and electronics enthusiasts analyze two-mesh electrical circuits using Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law. By entering the resistances and voltage sources for each mesh, the tool calculates the currents flowing through both meshes and their directions. This allows users to understand the behavior of complex circuits, design circuits efficiently, and troubleshoot electrical networks with precision.
How to Use:
- Enter Resistances (R₁, R₂, R₃) in Ohms (Ω): Input the values of the resistors in each branch, including the shared resistor.
- Enter Voltage Sources (V₁, V₂) in Volts (V): Input the voltages applied to Mesh 1 and Mesh 2.
- Click “Calculate”: The tool computes the mesh currents using Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law.
- Review Result: The output displays the entered resistances and voltages, calculated currents I₁ and I₂ in Amperes (A), and indicates the direction of current flow in each mesh.
